MONTGOMERY COUNTY

Dayton

There is no direct assistance at the Dayton Red Cross Office at 370 W. First St., but on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Red Cross officials will give information on emergency preparedness.

Butler Twp.,

Red Cross emergency shelter at Crossroads Church of God, 6213 Miller Lane, with sleeping facilities, warm meals, water, access to electricity, showers and limited medical assistance as needed. It replaces the shelter at Masonic Temple near downtown. For Red Cross info: 222-0124.

Brookville

has a daytime shelter in Golden Gate Park on the corner of Arlington and Upper Lewisburg-Salem roads, opened by the city's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., meals are served and electricity is available for charging batteries.

Vandalia

For hot line with outage status and debris removal info at 415-2255. Showers are free for residents of Vandalia-Butler school district, at the Recreation Center, 3710 Stonequarry Road. Fee of $2 for nonresidents. Soap and towels not supplied.

Huber Heights

Residents can receive updates on road closures, power status, debris pickup, and other tips by calling 223-1423 and asking for the power outage information line.

Clayton

There is water at Fire Station 84 at the corner of Crestway and Wenger roads for anyone who brings a container.

West Carrollton

Seniors without power needing assistance can call 859-5183.

Dayton

Resident James Wingfield will give away about 150 hot dogs and 150 hamburgers at the Common Ground Cook-Out, a community barbecue starting Saturday at 2 p.m. until the food runs out. It will be at Washington Park, on Woodley Road near Wright Avenue, rain or shine. Wingfield will supply beverages, paper plates and plasticware will be provided, but he hopes people will donate them. Call Wingfield at (937) 528-1021 for more information or to make donations to the barbecue or Wingfield's nonprofit organization, Right Path Initiative.

GREENE COUNTY

Xenia

There are warm meals, water, access to electricity at Central Junior High School, 425 Edison Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Also, Greene Memorial Hospital, 1141 N. Monroe Drive in Xenia, is providing oxygen or electricity to run oxygen tanks and other medical devices, free to anyone. Info: 352-2000. Dumpster for Greene County residents at Xenia Demolition Landfill, 610 Dayton-Xenia Road in Xenia, Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Only for spoiled food and food debris. For info: 374-5606.

Bellbrook-Sugarcreek

Water is available at the community center's outside water source at all hours, from hose inside front door at 2751 Washington Mill Road. Electricity for recharging batteries is available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

WARREN COUNTY

Franklin

is offering hot meals and water at the Food Pantry at 345 South Main St., from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. It replaced the Cincinnati Red Cross emergency shelter at Carlisle Lyons Club. Contact the Cincinnati chapter at (800) 255-7070. First United Methodist Church, 303 S. Main St. in Franklin, lunch at 11 a.m., dinner at 3 p.m.; Saint Mary's-Franklin, 115 S. Main St. in Franklin, dinner at 3 p.m.; The Vineyard Church, 4900 State Route 123 in Franklin, food available all day.

Hamilton Twp.

There is water available at the fire department, 69 West Socialville Foster Road.

Harlan Twp.

There is water available at the fire department, Morrow-Rossburg Road and Ohio 132.

South Lebanon

There is water available at the Union Twp. Fire Department, 285 E. Pike St.

PREBLE COUNTY

Gasper Twp.

Find warm meals, water, access to electricity from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at a daytime shelter at Fire Dept., 4195 Paint Creek Road.

CLARK COUNTY

Springfield

The Clark County Red Cross emergency shelter at Maiden Lane Church of God, 1201 Maiden Lane Ave., through noon Friday.
