Kings to bowl for fundraising dollars

Kings Bowling Night will be held Tuesday, July 15, at Mason Bowl, 763 Reading Road. The cost is $25 for four games for adults or $15 for students. All proceeds will help fund the KHS bowling team.

Fair offers fun, excitement

The Warren County Fair offers fairgoers more than food, rides and animal competitions. Contests will continue throughout the week, with prize money and trophies for winners. Choose from the Cornhole Tournament and the Warren County's Got Talent Show. Cornhole will run with three rounds, 5:30, 7 and 8:30 nightly, Monday through Thursday, July 14-17, at the fairgrounds. Round winners will advance to the finals July 19. Participants should register 30 minutes before each round.

For those with a special talent, enter the talent show, running 7 to 8 nightly, Monday through Thursday, July 14-17. The top two winners each night will advance to the finals July 19.

Other events include Figure 8 and ATV Races at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, and the Little Miss/Little Mister Contest at noon July 19.

Fair admission is $7 for adults and free for children younger than 12.

Show to offer supper, suspense, suspects

"Gloria Swansong's Comeback," a mystery dinner theatre fundraiser, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Shaker Run Golf Course, 4361 Greentree Road, Lebanon. Attendees can attempt to solve the mystery of an actress whose attempt to revive her career is unexpectedly snuffed out permanently.

All proceeds will benefit the new Hospice of Butler and Warren counties.

Chorus to showcase singing style

The Delta Kings Barbershop Chorus invites all men who like to sing to the "Come Sing With Us" event from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, July 14, at St. Susanna's Harry Meyer Center, 500 Reading Road. No vocal training or musical knowledge is necessary for this free event.

Attendees will learn and participate in a capella four-part barbershop harmony singing; hear demonstrations by quartets and octets; join in the singing and receive coaching in vocal techniques; and see how the Kings benefit the community.

Mammography unit on the move

The Jewish Hospital mobile mammography unit will perform mammograms from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 17 at the Warren County Health Department, 416 S. East St. The cost varies per insurance plan, and financial assistance is available for qualified applicants.
