Weather-related information for today's Mason Red, Rhythm & Boom
Thursday, July 03, 2008
The city of Mason continues to prepare for the Red, Rhythm & Boom celebration starting at 5:30 p.m. tonight, July 3 at Corwin M. Nixon Park.
The weather forecast holds a 50 percent chance of rain this afternoon with possible thunderstorms and partial clearing possible this evening. Setup and preparation of the area continues, along with additional rain coverage to protect needed equipment.
In case of sudden or severe weather, shelter will be available in Mason High School and Mason Community Center.
Event planners suggest anyone planning to attend the event continue to watch the weather and dress appropriately to protect themselves from the elements. Based on the weather, the schedule of events may change - both the times and whether they occur. For example, the parachute jump may need to be cancelled or a band may appear later than planned.
The event will continue as long as there is no severe weather that may cause safety hazards. In the event of potential severe weather, cancellations may need to occur. Residents are encouraged to continue to call the weather hotline at (513) 229-8502, or watch the Web at www.imaginemason.org
