Mason student earns award from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Mason High School junior Alexander Muetzel is the 2008 recipient of an award from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The award acknowledges Muetzel's work on a historical research paper entry in this year's National History Day in Ohio competition. The paper, entitled "America's Aria: Marian Anderson and the Lincoln Memorial Concert," qualified for competition at the district, regional and state levels and was acknowledged by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the best entry based on the history of music.
In addition to the $200 cash award, Muetzel also received Honorable Mention in his division at the state competition.
