Middle school releases quarter On-A-Roll list
Talawanda Middle School has released is On-A-Roll List for the third quarter of the 2007-08 school year.

To qualify for the On-A-Roll list, a student must not miss more than three school days during a quarter, be passing all grades and receive classroom qualifiers from the teacher's recommendations.

Talawanda grad given award at Wilmington College
Oxford resident Alicia M. Jacquemin, a sophomore at Wilmington College and 2007 graduate of Talawanda High School, was recognized recently at the College's 27th annual Student Recognition Ceremony.
The Wilmington College Honors Program is designed to enrich the academic experience of qualified students with honors sections of the core courses, interdisciplinary seminars, a senior project and various non-credit enrichment activities.
Oxford students earn math awards from Miami
Dmitriy Brezhnev and Iordan Ganev, both of Oxford, received awards given by Miami University's department of mathematics and statistics on April 2. A total of $26,775 in prizes and scholarships was awarded.
Brezhnev received the Faculty Prize, and Ganev received the Albert Scholarship, Pi Mu Epsilon Prize and Faculty Prize.
Miami students receive awards in vocal competition
Grace Kim, Bryn Vertesi, Michael Pegher and Mark Rysdon, all Miami University voice students, are four out of 11 students who won awards at the Ohio chapter competition of the National Association of Teachers of Singing held on April 12.
Senior Grace Kim received a first place award in the senior college women category.
Graduate student Bryn Vertesi received a fourth place award in the advanced college women category.
Pegher and Rysdon, both graduate students, won in the advanced college men category. Pegher received a first place award, and Rysdon a second place.
