With the nation's economy slumping, Mason's main attractions say a ticket tax could cause their businesses to slump.

Mason's finance committee met Monday night, May 5, to discuss, among other issues, the proposed admissions tax. Representatives from Kings Island, The Beach, the Warren County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Northeast Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Mason Association were in attendance.

Mayor Tom Grossmann, Kings Island General Manager Greg Scheid and The Beach Vice President and General Manager Pam Strickfadden said they are on the same page.
