Morrow twins in Mount Notre Dame's top 10

Dennis and Patricia Lewis have raised children any parent would be proud of.
The youngest of the Morrow couple's five children – twins Madeline and Mallory – recently made their decision to attend Miami University to major in business, focusing on international business and marketing. With their grade-point averages well above 5.0, the girls will finish in the top 10 in their class at Mount Notre Dame High School, and they are ready to take on their next challenge.
"We always knew we liked Miami – the people, the atmosphere, especially the business school," Madeline said. "Their program is very well-respected."
The girls said they did not necessarily intend to go to the same school, or chose the same major.
"We always knew we would go where we wanted to go, and if it happened to be the same place, that was fine," Mallory said. They have decided to live in separate dorms in an effort to meet more people.
Aside from their academics, the girls are active in numerous extracurricular activities, including 4-H where they were equestrians, track, theater and Irish dancing. During their senior year, Madeline was on the executive board of the student government and Mallory was president of the French club. Going into high school, Madeline said they knew it would be difficult to manage all their activities, but they wanted to make the most out of their high school experience.
They want to do everything, so sometimes I have to remind them that there is isn't enough time in the day for everything," their mother said. "Somehow, between their extracurriculars and demanding course work, they make it happen and they do it always with a smile."
Growing up, though, Patricia said the girls were inevitably compared to one another.
"Being twins, the girls are always being compared," she said. "They are used to it, as they have competed together since they were in grade school.
Madeline agreed, adding that despite what others believe about them, they are still each other's biggest fan.
"We did compete a lot growing up, but we were never rivals," Madeline said. "We both aim for our personal best, and we also cheered the other one on."
