Minnich, 27, melting shift manager; and Dean Stumpf, 26, ironmaking maintenance shift manager.
The employees are included in an article on Fortune 500's Web site. Minnich also is featured in the print magazine.
The list includes excerpts from the employees about why they enjoy their jobs.
"The best thing about my job is the reflection of human ingenuity and genius that I see every day. I was trained to do this job by someone else who had also been trained to do this job, but someone had to figure all this out. Somebody somewhere had to tame this beast that is the steel-making process and figure out how to do this," Minnich said in an interview with Fortune.
The West Chester Twp.-based steelmaker is glad its employees made the list, said spokesman Alan McCoy.
"AK Steel is very proud of its representatives portrayed in Fortune's 'New Faces' feature," McCoy said. "Clearly,
AK Steel's 'fortunes' have seen a dramatic turnaround in the past five years, and we are delighted that our employees are sharing the spotlight."
