Students enjoy hockey championship: The hockey championship was fun and exciting. In grade three, Mrs. Price's Fireballs scored six goals, and Ms. Baltzeill's Bulldogs earned four goals. In fourth-grade competition, it was Ms. Haisley's Laffy Taffy scoring four goals, and Mrs. Hilbert's Blue Jackets tallying up three goals. All four championship teams showed great spirit in their play and the classmates showed great support by hanging several signs all around the gym.

Jump Rope for Heart: The Jump Rope for Heart Event was a success. Many thanks to all of the students who participated in this worthwhile event to raise money for the American Heart Association. South raised just less than $5,000 this year. Things would not have run smoothly without the help of the following parent helpers: Mrs. Woeste, Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Luken, Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. Steele, Mrs. Tilford and Mr. Keller.
