Market America gives presentation
Market America will conduct a business presentation at 7 p.m. May 20 at Wetherington Golf and Country Club to highlight the franchise system. Market America, a product brokerage and internet marketing company, founded in 1992 is expanding in the area and is interested in working with local entrepreneurs who desire to make residual income from Market America's products and Internet shopping site.

Whitaker designs new Model T for Ford challenge
William "Zach" Whitaker of West Chester Twp. has been a participant in the Model T Design Challenge, a partnership between Ford Motor Company and the College for Creative Studies, where Mr. Whitaker is a student in the Transportation Design program. As part of the 100th anniversary of the famous Model T, students were challenged to come up with a modern redesign of the classic car, incorporating modern design principles and green technologies. Whitaker's design will be displayed at the Henry Ford museum in Detroit, Mich.
Etiquette consultant offers tips
Mary L. Starvaggi will speak at a seminar entitled, "Are you polished, or dull?" from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 27. Starvaggi is an etiquette consultant with The Etiquette Advantage.

Mickey D's to give out chicken items for free today
In order to promote its new Southern-style menu, participating McDonald's restaurants will be giving a free Southern Style Chicken Biscuit or Southern Style Chicken Sandwich to anyone who purchases a medium or large beverage today, May 15. Biscuits will be given out from 7-10:30 a.m. and sandwiches from after breakfast hours until 7 p.m. while supplies last.
The sampling event is to encourage the idea of having chicken at the breakfast hour, which the company recognizes as a relatively new idea to consumers, according to a press release from McDonald's.
