His family celebrated by putting up their Christmas tree on his birthday, a new family tradition.
But they're not the only ones who can't forget the boy from West Chester.
His father, Jeff Johnson, initially sent "Leo updates" by e-mail to inform family and friends of his son's medical condition. Over time, others moved by the faith, courage and abiding love in the electronic messages began following the saga of a boy they had never met.
