Picking up where Wong Kar-Wai's 'In The Mood For Love' left off, 2046 is both the number of the hotel room in which the couple conducted their extra marital encounters and the date of Hong Kong's final integration into China. It follows Chow Mo Wan through various liaisons with several beautiful women as he moves from being a gambler to a pulp fiction writer.
