Review: In the sky-high junkpile that is "Saturday Night Live" sketches morphed into full-length flicks, "The Ladies Man" falls somewhere near the top of the heap.

It's funny when Tim Meadows lisps those drop-dead lines. Like when his velvet-hued, post-pop god of love Leon Phelps takes his radio gig to WPJT (station Praise Jesus Together) and interviews a nun.

The question, delievered in all seriousness, goes just like this: "How long have you been nunnin' it up?"

We can't even print what he asks women at the bar he hangs out in.

Like many "SNL" movies, this one is a five-minute skit stretched to about 90 minutes. You dig those head-bopping brothers in "A Night At The Roxbury"? That manic, tree-loving Mary Katherine Gallagher in "Superstar"?

Then this is your night at the movies.

"The Ladies Man," though, isn't a complete movie. Hardly even close.

There is a storyline. Meadows' so-uncool-he's-cool hipster is in trouble at his old radio station for his frank airplay. He's pursued by Internet-fueled guys seeking revenge for his libidinous way with their wives. And, get this, the '70s man o' love is teetering on what would amount to a committed relationship.

We're appalled, too.

As the plot points arrive, they're all stretched to the max. Even the film's most unexpected bit - led by "SNL" cohort Will Ferrell - goes on and on and on.

For his part, Meadows holds to that wonderful, blank-faced Leon Phelps delivery. And those wonderfully potent punchlines.

Sadly, they're not nearly enough.
