A dramatization of the events that led famed broadcaster Edward R. Murrow to challenge Sen. Joseph McCarthy's aggressive investigations of suspected Communist. Murrow's 1953 news reports on one such investigation of a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve led McCarthy to accuse the broadcaster himself of Communist sympathies.
