Bridgewater Falls is suiting an upscale men's clothing store just fine, according to the store's manager.

"We're meeting all of our sales goals now that we have moved," said Stacey Sparks of Skeffington's Formal Wear's move from Hamilton to Fairfield Twp. this spring. "Because we're so central now, we're getting a lot more business from Fairfield, Middletown, Trenton and West Chester.

"We mostly did a lot of Hamilton business with the Hamilton store," Sparks said.

Sparks said the business is offering its newfound client base more than just tuxedos.

Caravelli suits that typically retail for $460 are available for $230, complete with coat, pants, shirt and a silk Piattelli tie.

The 3-button suits come in a variety of colors including black, brown, black pinstripe, navy blue pinstripe and charcoal pinstripe.

Another promotion allows grooms to earn a free Caravelli suit after purchasing five paid tuxedo rentals.

"A lot of people don't know that we have suits now," Sparks said. "That's kind of a new project that we're working on and we're trying to get that out there."

New relationships with area high schools also are helping boost sales, she said.

Kathy Couch, a tuxedo specialist at the store, said the Bridgewater Falls location outpaced 11 other Skeffington's locations in the Greater Cincinnati area during its first day of business.

In addition, the lifestyle center offers the business added security, with Fairfield Twp. Police Department officers and Butler County Sheriff's Office deputies routinely checking in to make sure everything is OK.

"You don't get that in the shopping malls," Couch said.
