Two motorcycle rides slated in Butler County this weekend

FAIRFIELD — The Cincinnati Teamster Motorcycle Association will host a benefit ride for Cincinnati Children's Medical Center Sunday, Sept. 14.

The ride begins at Charlie's Throttle Stop restaurant, 7121 Dixie Highway in Fairfield. According to a release, breakfast and registration will be from 10 a.m. to noon, and the ride is from noon to 3 p.m. The cost is $15 per bike or $20 per couple.

The event will include music by the band "Tightrope," a 50/50 raffle, Schwinn bicycle for kids raffle, door prizes, a bikini bike wash and more.

Another run, called "Hero's Ride," is scheduled as part of Fairfield's weekend-long September Dayz event. It is in honor of area fallen soldiers who died in the Iraq War.

Bikers will begin with breakfast from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Fairfield VFW Hall, 1367 Hicks Blvd. The ride ends at the Fairfield Community Arts Center, 411 Wessel Drive.
