MONROE — The ramp from Ohio 63 onto northbound Interstate 75 was closed for more than five hours after a tractor-trailer flipped on its side Sunday afternoon, Aug. 17.
Lloyd Clouser Jr., of Greenfield, Ohio, was turning left onto the interstate about 4:15 p.m. when excessive speed caused his semi to tip over, according to the Monroe Police Department.
Clouser, who was not injured in the crash, was cited for failure to control, officials said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The ramp to northbound Interstate 75 reopened about 9:40 p.m., officials said.
The total weight of the truck and its load of plastic products from Deceuninck North America on Garver Road was recorded at 63,000 pounds, according to police. The company manufactures window frames and PVC fencing and decks.
