WEST CHESTER TWP. — If you're planning on checking out the opening of IKEA next week, you may want to get there early. There are lots of freebies for early birds.
When IKEA West Chester opens at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, the first 100 adults through the door will receive free $85 Poang armchairs, and the first 100 children will receive Famnig heart-shaped cushions, according to store communications manager Kitalena Mason.

In addition, entertainment is planned for line campers, who are allowed on the 56-acre property on Allen Road starting 48 hours before opening.
The store is donating $10,000 in furniture to One Way Farm in Fairfield.
During a sneak preview for the media on Thursday, store manager Lonnie Rodgers showed off a winding path of model rooms, furniture and design stations.
The opening will showcase the Swedish company's first Ohio location, the company's 34th in the U.S.
When doors open, the 344,000-square-foot store will house 10,000 exclusively designed pieces of home furnishings and accessories, said Joseph Roth, IKEA North America director of public affairs.
