WEST CHESTER — Christ the King Lutheran Church in West Chester presents a free concert with the Northern Kentucky Faculty Brass Quintet, 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8.
The Faculty Brass Quintet performs a broad repertoire of brass music from a variety of music genres. In addition, the quintet members are accomplished arrangers who frequently perform custom arrangements of familiar music for concert performances.
The quintet features David Abbott, tuba; Drew Cremisio, trumpet; David Dunevant, trombone; Richard Goist, horn; and Jonathan Gresham, trumpet.
This concert is part of Christ the King Lutheran Church's Ubi Caritas concert series, said spokesperson Betsy Slone in a press release.
Ubi Caritas comes from a Latin phrase that translates, "Where charity and love are, God is there."
"Christ the King presents these periodic concerts to highlight area, regional and worldwide charities and help raise awareness of needs in our community, both locally and throughout the world," Slone said.
A free will offering will be taken to benefit Lutheran Disaster Relief. A reception will follow the concert, with refreshments sponsored by Tazza Mia.
Christ the King Lutheran Church is at 7393 Dimmick Road, West Chester. For more information, call 513-777-4370 or email ctkoffice@cinci.rr.com.
