Toffee cookies
1 cup soft butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup nuts, finely chopped
Mix butter, sugar and eggs well. Sift together flour, salt and bakingt soda. Add nuts. Shape into 2 rolls, each 2 inches thick. Chill. Slice dough 1/8-inch thick. Bake at 400 degrees 8 to 10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
