So the booths have seen better days, and you might get to listen to some good music instead of shouting over TVs, but Oasis Cafe n Pub is as great as it gets! Sans war paint and daisy dukes, the wait staff will serve you the best $3.50 Sam Adams you've ever had (unless you want to stop by another local bar and drop 5 bucks for a pint). Plus, thats not bed head, the bartender has dreads. As for the music, Bob Marley, Cake, Keller Williams, Grateful Dead, Blueprint, Tool, Bob Dylan, Illogic, the Werks; seems like a decent selection to me! The Pub offers more local music then you can shake a stick at (support the Dayton music scene!). If you want to shout over a football game and drink a $5 beer on a rock-hard (but not torn!) barstool, don't bother stopping by. If you are looking for a bar with great food, awesome service and the best atmosphere in Dayton, come to Oasis!

Some bargains like Monday $2 Guinness draught (NOT their stout, mind you!), Tues. $3 for 80 oz. (may want to share) pitchers, and 25 cent wings make it worth stopping in. The wait staff always looks like they just got out of bed; no Hooters girls here. Kitchen is a bit slow, too. Upholstery has been ridden hard, etc. Lots of ripped cushions but they may be getting some new Naugahide soon; otherwise they look like crap. Several TVs but rarely can you hear any of them ,so what's the point? Appetizer menu prices are exorbitantly priced for a little bar; I mean $7-8 for cheese fries or potato skins or whatever? Certainly at the high range of reality. No juke box or choice of music; seems the staff brings in their iPods & you get to listen to their music tastes. At $3.50 for a Sam Adams (that's $21 per 6-pack), you should opt for the $3 pitchers on Tuesday.
