‘Twilight’ candies say ‘bite me’
The folks who bring you ‘hug me’ heart candies at Valentine’s Day have gotten a little edgy.
The newest version of Sweethearts candies are a “Twilight” line based on the popular vampire books and movies.
And yes, they do say, “Bite Me.”
The line is called Forbidden Fruits and was unveiled Tuesday at The All Candy in Chicago, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Forbidden Fruits comes from Necco (of the now-dated Necco wafer) and features a scratch-and-sniff red heart box scented in strawberry, which is representative of character Bella’s shampoo.
There also is a purple heart box that is “passionfruit” flavored for obvious vampire reasons.

Just unveiled? My wife bought a few boxes of them late last year from Borders, I saw them yesterday at FYE. Perhaps you meant to say that they unveiled the second flavor?

In ref. to Nick’s comment…Twilight theatre boxes were first shipped from NECCO in February 2009. They have only been available for the last 90 days… so…
