Beyonce wise to keep quiet

The talk this week among celebrity women was the smackdowns some of the older ladies were putting on younger stars.

First, Faye Dunaway expressed horror that Hillary Duff was to be cast in Dunaway’s iconic role of Bonnie in “The story of Bonnie and Clyde.”

“Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?” Dunaway huffed.

Duff was no better in her response, jabbing at Dunaway’s plastic surgery: “I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.”

Then Etta James turned on Beyonce Knowles, apparently furious that Beyonce sung “her” song, “At Last” at the inaugural ball. James said, “The great Beyonce…I can’t stand Beyonce.”

It’s pretty obvious who is wrong here. Dunaway and James started it. But Hillary Duff was more ridiculous, snapping back at Dunaway. It just never works when a younger woman picks on an older woman. Even if she “deserves” it; even if it’s her “fault.” It’s just cruel and it gets you nowhere.

The real one to learn from is Beyonce. Beyonce knows something so few of us do.

Keeping one’s mouth shut is usually the best way to handle public criticism.

a rhetorical question isnts a question with no answer, its a question you ask which you either dont want or dont expect an answer to. How old are you before you are said to have died of old age?
