Sasha and Malia dolls retired
Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha have been retired by Ty toy company.
Shortly after the inauguration which featured the real Malia and Sasha Obama, Ty announced the two new dolls which they insisted were not based on the first daughters. (The dolls had ‘real doll hair’ was one of the points they weakly raised.)
But following public outcry and irritation, including that coming from actual First Mom Michelle Obama, the company has decided to “retire” the names and go with “Marvelous Mariah” and “Sweet Sydney.”
Profits from sales of the original dolls will be donated to charity.
No word yet on Mariah Carey’s reaction.

I did not know Mrs. Obama had the power to stop commercial production. I hope she does not stop oil exploration or production.
