Concert on the Lake back for another round

It’s a little early, but I just got the announcement from the folks at the West Chester Chamber Alliance, so I wanted to put this out there. The Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra is scheduled to return to VOA Park July 13 for the second Concert on the Lake.

I haven’t heard if Rozzi’s will be doing the fireworks again, but I was told via press release that the orchestra plans to close with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, complete with cannon (take a look: it’s written into the score as part of the percussion). Did you attend last year’s event? What did you think about it?

I know there are folks involved with its planning who read this blog, so if you had any gripes or kudos from last year, now’s a good time to leave a comment.
