Witt men fifth in regional rankings

The Wittenberg men’s basketball team is ranked fifth in the Great Lakes Region in the first NCAA Division III regional rankings of the season. The Tigers are 14-5 with an 11-3 regional record.

They trail Wooster, Hope, Wabash and Marietta.

The regional rankings help determine which teams receive at-large berths in the NCAA tournament. There are 18 at-large berths in the 61-team men’s tournament.
