Utah girls basketbal team wins 108-3
From ESPN.com:
Would you consider a 108-3 victory in a high school girls’ basketball game running up the score? I say it is, no matter what the winning coach says.
No need to do a double take. That really was the score last week as Christian Heritage (Riverdale, Utah) defeated West Ridge Academy (West Jordan, Utah), a school with a motto of “We help teens with substance abuse or other difficulties.”
Christian Heritage coach Rob McGill apologized but suggested slowing down or playing a bit softer would have been more insulting. “I have been on the other side of this equation,” McGill told ABC 4 in Salt Lake City. “It was very insulting when teams slowed the ball down and just passed it around. That’s why I’d rather have a team play me straight up, and that’s why I played them straight up. Because I didn’t want to taunt them, I didn’t want to embarrass them, I didn’t want them to think we could do whatever we want.” McGill clearly believes this ideology given that some of Christian Heritage’s other recent victories have been by margins of 61, 56, and 54.

TweetBuckeye State Baseball profiles Northwestern grad
From BuckeyeStateBaseball.com:
Any fan, coach, and teammate would love to have a corner infielder capable of hitting .400 with plenty of pop to spare anchoring their batting order. For the Bluffton Beavers and Coach James Grandey they have such a player on their team.
2010 would be a season that saw Tyler Stephenson emerge as one of Ohio’s top players providing hope that the corner may be turning in the near-future for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference member, with success on the horizon for Bluffton. Not that his freshman season would not lend one to believe a potential All-Region could be found on the Beavers’ roster.
By way of Springfield, Ohio, where he attended Northwestern High School, from day one Stephenson has embarked on a path that has his name littering the Bluffton baseball record books.

TweetCrowds fill Callan Athletic Center for Cedarville-Walsh games
Cedarville University fans turned out in force Saturday to watch the women’s and men’s team take on Walsh.
A decent crowd turned out to watch the No. 9 Cedarville women lose to No. 16 Walsh, and a huge crowd saw the men’s team lose to top-ranked and undefeated Walsh. The proof is in these Cedarville University highlight packages.
