From GoBearcats.com:
KENT, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati indoor track and field team came out victorious Saturday, Jan. 22, at the All-Ohio Championships at the Kent State Field House on the strength of seven individual wins.
The Bearcats relay team of senior Vanessa Hardin (Westerville, Ohio), sophomore Shanay Portis (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield), Klump and Rhodes finished the 4x400-meter relay in 3:47.85, good for first place.
The Bearcats totaled 119 points to win the All-Ohio, followed by Akron’s 78.20 points and Kent State’s 71.20. It’s the second consecutive overall team win for UC, which won the Akron Opener on Jan. 7.
“Today we are the best team in Ohio and we are very proud of it,” said UC head coach Susan Seaton. “We competed with heart and tenacity and gave a full team effort to win the championship.”
