Springfield loses to Northmont at UD Arena

Springfield lost 40-39 to Northmont. Springfield’s last-second shot fell short.

  • Springfield’s down 40-37 with 1:25 left. The Wildcats have the ball and just called a timeout.

  • Northmont leads 36-35 with 4:08 to play. Springfield has one point in the quarter, a free throw by Trey DePriest.

  • The game is tied, 34-34, with 5:48 left. Northmont has all the momentum thanks to a full-court press defense.

  • Springfield leads 34-30 after three quarters.

Northmont has made a run: Springfield’s lead was 32-24 at one point.

Fourth quarter coming up.

  • Springfield leads 27-22 at halftime.

Rbo Moss has seven points to lead the Wildcats. Denzel Lassiter has six points to lead the Wildcats, and Tony Ferrell and Akeem Freeman have five points.

The Wildcats have been able to move the ball against Northmont’z 2-3 zone. Much better than the Wildcats attacked against Lebanon (an OT win)

  • Springfield’s up 18-16 after the first quarter.

The Wildcats have shown they can score against Northmont’s zone so far. Denzel Lassiter has six points, and Rob Moss has five.

Springfield is 14-8 and Northmont 12-9. The Thunderbolts beat Springfield twice in the regular season.

Wayne is playing Xenia now. The tip should be in about 30 minutes.
