Three area squads ranked in first AP state poll

Three area teams found their names in the first AP state poll was released today, Monday, Sept. 14.

Tecumseh (3-0) is tied for eighth in Division II with Cin. Winton Woods and received one first-place vote. The Arrows were ranked 7th in the final state poll last fall after finishing the season 10-0.

Southeastern (3-0) is 15th in D-VI, receiving one first-place vote. It’s the first time the Trojans have been ranked in the state since 2002.

West Liberty-Salem, a playoff team last fall, is ranked 18th in D-V.

Wow wee, look at all of the MAC Teams listed in the rankings. The best conference in Division V and VI. CCC teams wouldn’t stand a chance. Delphos St. Johns, Coldwater, St,Henry, Anna, Marion Local. Not to mention a rebounding Versailles program that has 21 pionts in D.V. Look for them to rise in rankings if they beat St. Henry.

You know the only thing that bother me and some members of my community is that Spfld high school get no props on anything no write ups in the news paper or anything and we have 5 kids going to D-1 football but spfld news reports on Tecumseh, Southeastern, Northwestern,Shawnee ect…All these lower division teams that honestly couldnt hold SHS jockstrap….come up give us our prop where props are due…
