Shawnee’s Williams named Clark County’s Mr. Basketball
Shawnee senior Justin Williams was named the Dan Hoyt Mr. Basketball as Clark County’s top boys player on Monday, April 13.
Williams was selected by a group of the county’s coaches. He averaged 15.8 points and 6.7 rebounds as the Braves went 17-6 this season.
Southeastern head coach P.J. Bertemes was named the county coach of the year.
The rest of the team included Austin Mercer and J.P. McFarland of Southeastern; P.J. Howell of Shawnee; Aaron Hartzell of Northeastern; Zack Burks of Springfield; Joel Elliott of Emmanuel Christian; Kyle Morris of Kenton Ridge; Hayden Hagerman of Catholic Central; and Dustin Holmes of Tecumseh.
Kenton Ridge senior Randon McNeil and his head coach, Kris Spriggs, won the county sportsmanship awards.
