High school roof needs emergency repairs
Greenon High School is in need of emergency repairs because of last week’s windstorms.
The board will vote tonight on a resolution of “urgent necessity” to repair the school’s roof, according to the agenda for the 6 p.m. meeting.
Typically, Ohio law requires districts to accept bids for projects like this. But if the repairs are urgent, like this one, the board can take action to move immediately, bypassing the bid process.
Northeastern schools had a board meeting last week to pass a similar resolution for repairs at Kenton Ridge High School.
