Tecumseh board to discuss negotiations

Tecumseh board members will meet in closed session tonight to discuss labor negotiations.

The district has called a special meeting for 3:45 p.m. today where they will go into executive session - as allowed under Ohio law - to discuss labor negotiations, according to an announcement from the district.

Tecumseh’s negotiations with its teachers union have been strained with teachers announcing in August they would not attend open houses or other after hours events they are not compensated for attending.

I’ll update when I know more.

UPDATE: Tecumseh’s school board will meet in executive session tonight with union negotiation officials and a federal mediator for the first mediation session.
