Local elementary is finalist for online contest

Hustead Elementary is one of just 13 finalists from Ohio in the Lots2give online competition.

Lots2Give, sponsored by Big Lots, is a contest for schools to compete for up to $10,000 cash. Hustead hopes to use the money for additional literacy materials and an author visit if selected.

Hustead’s video was selected by a panel of judges as one of 150 finalists. The winners will be decided through online voting from now through July 22 at www.lots2give.com.

Hustead is the only local school among the finalists. There is an East Elementary School video but it’s the one in Athens, not in Champaign County.

You can vote up to three times a day for Hustead’s video for the next couple weeks.
