District made offer to high school managing director
Springfield schools has made an offer to a candidate to fill the position of high school managing director, the administrator who will help facilitate the four small schools for Springfield High School next year.
Interim Superintendent Don Thompson told me this afternoon that he is negotiating contract details with a candidate to take the position. He plans to release the name after everything is finalized and declined to say whether it was an internal or outside candidate.
Thompson said he might bring the recommendation to the board at tomorrow’s meeting if the details are all worked out; otherwise he will ask for a special meeting June 30.
The four small schools principals have all been selected. The board will vote on the final recommendation (see more on that in my last post) tomorrow night.
