Real Housewives of Atlanta star coming to downtown Dayton

The sanest cast members of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” will be in Dayton Friday.

Singer/songwriter/producer Kandi Burruss will host a party at Sa-Bai Asian Cuisine and Sushi Bar, 200 S. Jefferson St., as part of King Entertainment’s First Friday.

“The show she is on is pretty hot right now,” said David Martin, president if King Entertainment, a Dayton-based event planning company. “She is one of the people everyone likes the most.”

Her appearance celebrates King Entertainment’s fourth anniversary of hosting parties the first Friday of each month downtown. Admission is $10 before 11 p.m. and $20 after midnight.

About 250 people are expected to attend. The bash is for those age 25 and older. There will be drink specials and a DJ.

Burruss promoted the event online.

“I will be hosting a party in Dayton Ohio this Friday! Here’s the flyer for details,” she says on her official Twitter page.

Burruss’ Facebook page lists the stop in Dayton among several tour dates.

A former member of the R&B act Xscape, Burruss wrote the hit song “No Scrubs” for TLC with her former bandmate Tameka “Tiny” Cottle.

The Grammy winner also wrote the digital download phenomenon “Tardy For The Party” for her Real Housewives of Atlanta cast mate Kim Zolciak.

Burruss joined the cast of the Bravo reality series in 2009 and is set to star in the Bravo special called “The Kandi Factory.”

Why are people so negative? Personally, I don’t care for the Housewives, but I would not ridicule her for performing here in Dayton. If you don’t want to see the show, then don’t go. There’s no need for the negative comments. At least she’s willing to come to this no having enterainment city. Lighten up!!!

As a former native of Dayton its a great way to promote the City of Dayton. Dayton could use some positive exposure. I agree with Optimism keep all the negative comments to yourself. I had the priviledge of meeting her in Charlotte, NC during an event. Kandi is very personable and down to earth. ~ Enjoy Dayton!

This rinky-dink city doesn’t have anything going for it any more, and I think it was nice of her to even think about coming to Dayton, I hate when negitive people have a lot to say, get a life, no better yet get gone, there is just too much of you in this world.
