WDTN to hold auditions for new show
Remember the upcoming WDTN midday show we told you about in September?
The station will host meet and greet auditions for “Living Dayton” 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Buckminn’s D&D Harley-Davidson, 1213 Cincinnati Ave., Xenia.
“We’re looking for energetic, fun and creative people who want to be part of our new show,” said Steve Bailey, Creative Services Director of WDTN-TV. “This is your chance to audition and tell us why you should be part of the Living Dayton team.”
The local lifestyle talk show will replace “2 News at Noon” in February.
WDTN anchor Marsha Bonhart and meteorologist Jamie Jarosik will present news and weather at the top of the hour-long broadcast.
The weekday show needs two hosts, producers and experts in all fields to be a part of Living Dayton.
The station says it is looking for two types of people:
Characters - People who are funny, witty or just plain interesting. An opinionated grandmother, a stay-at-home dad or someone like that might work.
Field professionals - People with expertise on a certain subject. For example a computer or gadgets aficionado, a fashion queen, etc.
Contact Steve Bailey at sbailey@wdtn.com for more information.

TweetStory about Dayton tattoo artist who inked feces on girlfriend’s back bogus
From the get go, there was something extra stinky about the story that a Dayton tattoo artist had inked a big pile of something smelly on his girlfriend’s back.
Perez Hilton, The Sun, The Drudge Report and Metro were among the media outlets to jump on the story of a lawsuit filed against Ryan L. Fitzjerald of Dayton.
As the story went, Rossie Brovent asked Fitzjerald to tatoo a scene from the Narnia trilogy on her back. In an act of pure revenge, Fitzjerald tattooed a pile of feces on Brovent’s back instead. Fitzjerald was apparently enraged when he learned Brovent cheated on him with his best friend.
Brovent filed a lawsuit seeking roughly $100,000. The problem? There is no record of the lawsuit in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court or any other area court system.
The Smoking Gun is also crying fowl.
It says the photo of the woman reported to be Brovent first surfaced online 18 months ago as part of a “Worst Tattoo of the Day” on the blog I Am Bored.
Smoking Gun searched the Nexis database and couldn’t find anyone with Brovent’s or Fitzjerald’s names.
Their “love” story generated millions of hits online.
