Registration down for local Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt
The Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio is searching for more teams willing to search Dayton Amazing Race-style.
The organization has not met its registration goal for its Fall Treasure Hunt Road Rally Saturday, Oct. 15, said Sharlene Bly, an event organizer.
“They are having a hard time getting people to sign up,” Bly, a project manager for the Dayton Daily News advertising department, said. “I don’t understand it.”
The foundation seeks at least 70 teams of four to eight players wiling to solve clues that lead to locations throughout Dayton and surrounding areas.
“It is a great way to support a fund raiser, but it is also a good Saturday night,” Bly said. “It’s fun to use your problem solving skills.”
Teams are limited to one vehicle and can sign up for the 10-clue Pro-Route or the six-clue Newbie Route.
The top three teams in the Pro Route and to the first place team in the Newbie Route will receive award. A party at the Knights of Columbus on Powell Road will follow the hunt.
Registration is $15 per person on or before Oct. 7, or $20 after that date. Registration form can be found on the web at www.ohioepilepsy.org.
All proceeds will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio’s Emergency Prescription Assistance, School Nurses Training, Seizure First Aid and Seizure Recognition training, Support Groups, and Information and Referral Services for the community and those living with a seizure disorder.
