Couple who lost everything in Beavercreek blaze could get $100K dream wedding
A former Beavercreek couple needs your help in getting their wedding plans back on track in a big way.
Lt. Ethan Biter, a pilot in the U.S. Navy, and his fiance Blair Shinn, a former worker at the Pub at The Greene, lost everything when their apartment in the Promenade Apartments in Beavercreek was struck by lightning and caught fire Aug. 17, 2009.
Their wedding plans were immediately derailed. Biter said he and his bride-to-be are still trying to recoup from the devastating blaze.
“We don’t have any money to spend on a wedding,” Biter said.
Now based in Pax River, Md., Biter, who was studying at The Air Force Institute of Technology, was searching for alternative ways to pay for a wedding when he came across the “Ultimate Wedding” competition sponsored by Crate and Barrel. Biter, 31, and Shinn, 25, are now among the couples vying for online votes for a shot at $100,000 dream wedding.
Vote for them at http://www.ultimateweddingcontest.com/entry/98890 by March 31.
