Kettering Elvis impersonators ‘Shake, Rattle and Roll’ at competition

Miami Valley Elvis Presley impersonators proved they are pretty smooth on their blue suede shoes at the 15th annual Midwest Tribute to the King competition last weekend in Springfield, Ill.

Russell Dennis of Kettering placed second among 14 Elvis impersonators vying to be the best King in the Midwest.

He walked away with $800, falling behind winner Todd Bodenheimer of LaGrange, KY, according to a spokeswoman from Perfect Impressions Entertainment, the agency that directed the contest.

Bradley Scott of Middletown took third place and won $500 after two days of hound dog competition.

He bested fourth-place finisher Nick Gutierrez of Montgomery, Ill.
