48-year local radio host dies
48-year WFCJ-FM radio show host Chaplain Robert Brown died Monday at his home.
He was 86.
On “Chaplain Says” Brown shared inspirational stories and thoughts from the Bible and his years working as a chaplain, said Bill Nance, the Christian station’s program director.
Brown was chaplain at Dayton Veterans Administration for 17 years and chaplain with Lebanon Correctional Institute from 1960-1985.
He worked with the Inmate Harvest Prison Ministries after retiring.
Brown’s 10-minute program was aired at 7:30 a.m. Saturdays.
“He was quite a guy,” Nance said.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at the Moraine Heights Baptist Church, 5661 Munger Road, Moraine.

My deepest condolences to Chaplain Brown’s family. I was a long time listener on Saturday mornings. His life I am certain effected many lives in a very positive way. We will remember to “look up” Chaplain Brown.

My prayers go out to Chaplain Brown’s family. I worked with the Chaplain at the VA and known him to be a quiet, nice man. He will be remembered in the highest regard.

Fought a good fight, kept the faith. Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of his saints. Blessed are they that die in the Lord, henceforth, yea saith the spirit, they rest from their labors and their works do follow them.
