Running of the Brides Friday
Thrifty brides-to-be may want to gas up the car and grab a good pair of sneakers.
“The Running of the Brides” will hit the Cleveland area’s Filene’s Basement Friday, Aug. 27.
The Warrensville Heights store will sale wedding gowns for $250 to $699 for about three hours beginning at 8 a.m.
The run will include more than 1,400 gowns, most regularly priced at $900 to $9,000.
Brides-to-be and their team of helpers will line up at the door before the store opens so plan to get there earlier if you are going.
Brides who buy gowns will receive “I survived the Running of the Brides” T-shirts. Their helpers will get temporary tattoos that read “I survived…”
The Running of the Brides started in 1947 at the original Filene’s Basement in downtown Boston. This will be the fourth year for the sales at the Cleveland area store located at Harvard Park Shopping Center, 4045 Richmond Road, Warrensville Heights. All sales are final.
