State to launch cuss-free week

Some Californians might have very soapy mouths next week.

The California Assembly approved a resolution Thursday, Feb. 25, that would establish “Cuss Free Week” there the first week of March.

The state Senate is to vote on the measure week. If approved it would take effect immediately, the Los Angeles Times reports, pointing out that the measure comes with no enforcement mechanism and is simply a means to promote greater “harmony and connectedness.”

You can’t ignore a ‘little thing’ called free speech, but maybe a cuss free week isn’t such a bad idea. Some potty-mouths obviously should clean it up.

More than 90 percent of people who responded to a 2006 poll said they do not think profanity is acceptable in the workplace.

The hope is that Californians will “act like you’re at your grandma’s house,” according to a blog on ABCNews.com.

What do you think? Would a cuss free week work in Ohio?

So…when will the gov’t be passing out the list of words we are and are not allowed to say? Ridiculous. Sorry, but the gov’t must have lots of money to have it to spend on this crap. Ridiculous!

What the #$@*!%$& are they thinking? Is it alright if I wash my car this weekend? May I go to the bathroom? Do I have to eat all my vegetables? Is it OK if we vote out all state government officials?

Mother says, “yes you may”! Since gov’t has enough money to hold these meetings and pass stupid things like this, can we stop paying our taxes now. We need our money for things like rent and food and gas. Mother may I?

Amen to Squirrelly & Mother May I!! If these “representatives” have enough money to hold these bogus meetings to “establish harmony & correctedness” then we should have enough to pay back China & be out of debt! Stop the stupid legislature bs!! This was and is a complete waste of time & tax payer money! Cuss free week would not f-n work in Ohio or any other state! This is such B—-S—-!

Really?? Although I think that people in general should watch their language more why are legislators in CA wasting time on something like this. That state is in a serious financial crisis and they are wasting time on this. Get Real!

“…a government of the people, by the people and for the people”? How in the bald-headed f&k has that concept become so badly misconstrued? Perhaps a better question would be this…how have we, as Americans become so damned complacent? My high school football coach used to tell us that if we let ourselves get “fat, dumb and happy” that we had already lost before the game even started. I think you would all agree that the game HAS started!!! Do ANY of you really care whether or not people spew expletives when there is so much more at stake here? WAKE THE F&K UP!!!!!!!!!!
