Hometown fashion hero to be celebrated this weekend
Oakwood’s Althea Harper didn’t win the top prize on Lifetime’s “Project Runway.”
But she did her hometown proud, said John Chapel a promoter for Therapy Cafe, 452 E. Third St., Dayton.
“Everyone from Dayton wears Dayton like a badge,” Chapel said. “ We have a subtle pride in our town.”
The party will feature an appearance by Harper, wears from Bill Hodac’s Super Natural Clothing and music spun by DJs Kimyon, tony Desaro, Perry Ellis, Jason “Lemon” Lyman and John Chapel.
Harper was runnerup on the most recent season of Project Runway. Admission is $5 in advance or $10 at the door. Bring your dancing shoes. Things kick off at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, and wrap around 3 a.m.
For more information, call (937) 499-0771 or visit Therapy Cafe.
