Poll: Nearly 14 percent of people expecting a ‘Hangover’ in 2010

Nearly 14 percent of Americans are expecting an economic “Hangover” in 2010, but don’t despair, nearly 30 percent of people expect things to be “Up.”

That the conclusion of a poll sponsored by Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America.

About 1,000 people were asked to use 2009 movie titles to describe their the financial outlook for 2010

According to the poll conducted by Synovate Research , 37.9 percent made positive choices, 35.5 percent indicated uncertainty, and only 26.6 percent went negative.

Here are the results:

Uncertain

35.5 percent chose “Where the Wild Things Are”

Positive

29.2 percent chose “Up”

8.7 percent chose “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”

Negative

13.6 percent chose “Hangover”

13 percent chose “The Ugly Truth”

The hangover will begin precisely at 12:01 am on 01-01-10. Since everyone will have been (hic)drinking since 6:00pm on 12-31-09
