William Shatner spoofs Sarah Palin’s speech beatnik-style

If you thought former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin’s resignation speech was…spectacular, what will you think of the way “master thespian” William Shatner delivered it on “The Tonight Show” Monday night, July 26?

Show host Conan O’Brien joked that the speech was intended as a poem.

Watch Shatner do it beatnik-style. In a word, breathtaking.

Centerville gallery’s contest to focus on black and white

A juried fine art competition that focuses on the high contrast emphasis of black and white will open in September at Visceral Gallery in Centerville.

All mediums and styles of original artwork will be accepted on Friday, Sept. 11, and Saturday, Sept. 12. Entry fee is $15 for one entry, top prize is $200.
