Ripley named top sci-fi heroines. Who is your favorite?

Space chicks have come a long way since Barbarella’s anti-gravity striptease.

Modern sci-fi babes can actually wear clothes - imagine that. And many would give a smack to anyone who called them ‘babe’ or ‘chick.’

Ellen Ripley, Sigourney Weaver’s monster slaying character from the Alien film series, tops the list of “Sci-Fi Woman Of All Time,” according to the website Totalscifionline.com.

The website (check it out here) ranked 25 iconic heroines from TV and film.

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Buffy Summers from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” was ranked second. She edged out “Battlestar Galactica’s” Starbuck played by Katee Sackhoff.
