Breeder wins for Judge
A federal judges sort of owes a rocker one.
Dayton rocker Kim Deal of Breeders and Pixies fame played on behalf of Senior U.S. District Judge Walter Rice during a segment of the popular NPR quiz show “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.”
The former Wayne High School cheerleader also sort of sang her high school’s fight song during the comical game show, saying something about throwing Ole’ Stebbins on the side.
The show was recorded in downtown Dayton’s Victoria Theatre Thursday, March 26.
It aired locally March 28.
Deal who lives in Oakwood answered questions during a game called “Breeders? You call that Breeding, I’ll tell you about Breeding.”
She correctly answered questions about the breeding habits of giant squads, angler fish and pandas.
The judge won show co-host Carl Kasell’s voice on his answering machine.
