No more ‘Spice’ at Therapy Cafe, bar ends Indian lunch buffet

Therapy Cafe has ended its lunchtime partnership with Kohinoor Palace of Miamisburg.

Chris Cochran, who does publicity for Therapy, said Therapy Spice, an Indian lunch buffet, had a lot of promise, but just did not catch on in downtown Dayton.

The bar started offering a $9.95 the buffet Oct. 1 and discontinued it around Christmas, Cochran said.

The food was transferred daily from Kohinoor Palace to Therapy, 452 E. Third St, Dayton.

Three vegetarian dishes, three non-vegetarian dishes, desserts and salads were served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Why do you think the buffet failed? Can downtown Dayton support an Indian buffet?

Why go there when you could go to the place and get a much bigger selection at probably a lower price? I think of of Indian food as destination dining rather than impulse. Its sure not for everybody. I stayed at an “Indian” motel in Columbus. When I went in to pay Id run out asap. Sometimes it almost made sick from the smell.
