No Fuel for ‘AI’ Daughtry; McPhee Wonder Woman?

After all the hoopla, Chris Daughtry has said “no� to his favorite band Fuel. He told The Charlotte Observer, “I’m going to be doing my own thing.� Bad for Fuel, good for us.

It’s not news that Taylor Hicks would sign a contract with American Idol creator Simon Fuller’s 19 Recordings Limited and Arista Records. His debut album is expected later this year. However, two of the songs, Do I Make You Proud, debuted on the finale show, and the cover version of Doobie Brothers Takin It To The Streets will hit the shelves and the Internet on June 13. Taylor is looking forward to releasing his first album. “I want to get a quick turnaround on my album. Get it on the shelves within the next five or six months, by the end of the year, something like that,â€? he said.

Meanwhile, Katharine McPhee may be seeing her dreams of being an actress come true as she’s already wooed by some of Hollywood’s biggest names. We’ve already heard that she’s been approached by Steven Spielberg but the new buzz is that filmmaker Joss Whedon has suggested that Katharine may be perfect for the big screen version of ‘Wonder Woman’.

Can you believe a Plattsburgh man is facing felony charges for allegedly striking his mother in the head after the two disagreed about the fate of an “American Idol” contestant? Come on. What is this world coming to?

I thought it was cool when Prince popped unexpectedly on stage during the finale show. Wow, maybe the rumors about him thinking he’s too good for Idol were not true. Now, the rest of the story has surfaced. Apparently star hopped up on stage at the Kodak Theater with literally seconds to spare. He never spoke to anyone. Not the Idol staff, contestants, producers or the audience. Popped in and popped out. In fact, Ryan was panicked that Prince wouldn’t even show up because no one had heard from him or his people.
